Interior Design students in IDE401 conducted their entire semester senior design studio on remaking the AUS Sustainability Office out of recycled or re-used materials to design the first co-working space for employees on campus. The final product used 90% recycled or reused materials and is now the co-working space for three employees and three interns.

Students in CVE263 Urban Transportation Planning conducted a series of tests and collected data on campus that were then used to change traffic patterns on campus. This led to the approval of one-way directional traffic around campus to be instituted in AY2019-20.

Students in ENV 491 Senior Research Project conducted waste audits on recycled materials for portions of campus. This led to a restructuring of recycling pickups within buildings throughout campus effective AY2018-19.
