A brief description of on-site renewable electricity generating devices :
The college provides space for four investor-owned solar arrays on campus, specifically: one ground mounted array on the Gellerstedt Soccer Field, and three rooftop arrays on the facilities building, science building, and parking deck. Though these arrays are housed on campus, we do not directly consume power generated by these solar projects; the power is sold by the investors to Georgia Power for the utility’s power supply and the total estimated power produced is enough to power 31 average US homes. In the legal leasing agreement with the investors, Agnes Scott retained the environmental attributes for the arrays.
The college owns a single array on the roof of the Bradley Observatory, and the electricity generated goes directly to the building. This array is used as a living laboratory for student learning and research.

A brief description of on-site renewable non-electric energy devices:
Campbell Hall uses a hybrid-geothermal ground-source heat pump to heat and cool the building. The residual heat from the system is used to heat the hot water for the residential half of the building. The hybrid-geothermal ground-source heat pump has been operating since April 2014.
