As part of SUMMIT, which provides every undergraduate student with a core curriculum focused on global learning, leadership development, and global journeys, students are equipped with tools to create a culture of inclusion and respect, recognizing power and privilege, identifying and responding to microaggressions and implicit bias, and building competencies towards socially responsible allyship. This is required training for all undergraduate students. Additionally, Agnes Scott hosts a Safe Zone program to provide allies and resources for the LGBTQ+ campus community. In 2019, Agnes Scott College was selected by the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) as one of 24 universities to host Trust, Racial Healing, and Transformation (TRHT) campus centers across the United States in a national effort to eradicate racial hierarchies and eliminate social inequities. As a THRT campus, the college partners with local and community groups as well as the campus community in projects that advance transformational racial change, promote racial healing activities, and erase structural barriers to equity and equal opportunity. Other trainings include: Diversity 101, Alphabet Soup, Trans 101s, and Disrupting Microaggressions/Implicit Bias, Anti-Racism, and Think Live Engage monthly roundtable discussions.
