ASU First Year Seminar UCO 1200 (Contemporary Green Living) Sustainability Literacy Survey This survey was conducted in two parts during the Fall of 2010. The ten question survey was designed as a pilot survey used to access the sustainability literacy of a group of ASU freshman First Year Seminar students. The survey was administered on the first day of class. The same survey was administered again on the last day of class. The following results conclude that the student’s literacy did increase. More results are needed in order to determine whether or not the course was directly responsible with the increased literacy rates. 1. Is sustainability an integral part of your life? 2. Are there any renewable energy systems on campus? 3. Does your campus prioritize energy efficiency? 4. Does your campus have a recycling program? 5. If your campus does have a recycling program, then which of the following can you recycle? (check all that apply) 6. If your campus does have a recycling program, then which of the following can you recycle at your dorm? (check all that apply) 7.
