A brief description of the trans-fats avoidance program, policy, or practice:
Appalachian State University Dining Services uses completely trans-fat free oil for its frying. Dining Services began the transition to trans-fat free oils at least three years ago, as soon as the trans-fat free oils became available. We felt it was our responsibility to our customers to make the change to trans-fat free oils and products wherever possible.
