A brief description of the pre-consumer food waste composting program:
Arizona State University’s primary food services provider, ARAMARK/Sun Devil Dining is currently working with the Global Institute of Sustainability (GIOS) at Arizona State University to evaluate commercial composting opportunities in the state of Arizona. They have conducted a complete waste audit of our largest dining hall in order to better understand the volume of pre- and post-consumer organic waste generated by our dining facilities. This data has been valuable in our continual meetings regarding potential composting partnerships and in the development of future waste stream management programs.
