1) Staff Sustainability Committee

2) The Sustainability Initiatives Revolving Fund (SIRF) Committee
It is comprised of seven ASU senior administrators from diverse disciplines. The Arizona State University Sustainability Initiatives Revolving Fund was established in Fiscal Year 2010 to invest in projects that foster and enable sustainability efforts and provide an economic return on investment. SIRF funds are available to all ASU community members. The SIRF committee provides oversight and convenes monthly to review and approve project requests recommended by Facilities Development and Management and Office of Strategic Planning and Budgeting and quarterly to review project progress reports. A brief description of each sustainability office:
The University Sustainability Practices office is the central office enacting Arizona State University’s sustainability initiatives and tracking sustainability accomplishments. The purpose of the University Sustainability Practices Office is to identify challenges and opportunities to help change operations and individual behaviors across all units to meet the University’s sustainability goals.

In addition to the central University Sustainability Practices Office, sustainability work is done by people from across ASU: Zero Waste, Energy Innovations, staff in Sun Devil Dining, Educational Opportunity and Student Services, Changemaker Central, Residential Life, Memorial Union, Facilities Development and Management, Staff Council Sustainability Committee, the Wrigley Institute, Global Futures Initiative, Green Devil Network, UTO, Sun Devil Athletics, Sun Devil Fitness Center, Health & Wellness, Marketing Hub, Environmental Health and Safety, Events, Purchasing, Parking and Transit Services, Auxiliary Services, Ground Services, Print Services, Business and Finance, the Provost’s Office, many colleges, many student organizations, University Student Government all support ASU's sustainability goals.

The Global Futures Laboratory is the umbrella under which many of ASU’s sustainability efforts are coordinated. Its mission is to develop options for proactive planetary management in order to achieve sustained habitability and improved well-being for all humankind.

The Global Futures Laboratory provides key engagement spaces for scientists, educators and leaders across ASU and around the world to address critical issues related to the future of planet Earth. Rather than solving problems after they arise, we seek to design a future in which humanity not only survives, but thrives.

In addition to the Global Futures Laboratory, there are more departments that support sustainability at ASU: Facilities, Development, and Management, Sun Devil Dining, Parking and Transit, etc.

Compared to 2007:
ASU has reduced net emissions 17% despite increasing gross square footage by 33% and enrollment by 37%. Additionally, net emissions are down per gross square foot by 38% and net emissions per FTE by 40%.
