A brief description of the campaign (1st campaign):
Sustain-A-Bowl is a month-long campaign involving 4000+ students living on campus in residence halls. Sustain-A-Bowl stresses energy and water conservation and other sustainability related behaviors. The campaign is a competition in that residence halls compete with each other to determine who can save the most energy and water. Sustain-A-Bowl also emphasizes the concept of community, in that students are working together as a residence life community to do what they can to improve their campus community by responsible use and conservation of resources. Each year, three winners are selected, one in each of the residential hall areas of campus. An overall winner is also acknowledged and treated to a winner's party.
