The Office of Campus Sustainability and Climate Action offers all departments the opportunity to participate in the Community Climate Commitment Workshop Series. This workshop series leads staff through a process to develop sustainability and climate goals for their departments that are directly tied to their mission or operational procedures. Staff come to the workshops with deep knowledge of their mission and operating procedures and leave understanding sustainability principles which they have directly applied to their day to day and long term planning.

Through our affiliation with Columbia University, Barnard staff have access to events and trainings offered through the Columbia Climate School. Recent events and trainings have included Building Emotional Resilience in the Face of the Climate Crisis, Field Photography, Science Photography, Storytelling, wilderness first aid training, Sustainable Development Speaker Series.
