A brief description of the signage that highlights sustainability features on campus:
All new buildings constructed after 2004 are LEED certified or pending LEED certification. Our new Engineering & Science building has a kiosk display at the entrance to showcase green building features such as solar panels, high efficiency data center, daylight harvesting, geothermal, and a green roof.

Our Grounds crew also installed signs around low-mow and no-mow areas to educate campus community how changing planting strategies can reduce the grounds maintenance requirements, hence reducing the associated negative effects on wildlife and environment.

Additionally the university has installed signs at most building passenger elevators to encourage people to take the stairs whenever possible. Signage is also posted in laundry rooms to encourage students to use lower water temperature settings and avoid doing small loads to reduce energy waste.
