A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
The Campus Climate Survey developed by the Divisional Diversity Officers (DDO) at Binghamton University was conducted to evaluate the perceptions of campus climate at BU. Data collection began April 1, 2014 and ended April 30, 2014. An online survey was sent to all faculty, staff and students (N = 18,149) through emails. An open link of the survey was also available on the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion website. This report includes the responses of the faculty and staff who responded through email links. A total of 2,711 faculty and staff received the survey through emails and 629 (23%) responded to the questionnaire through email link. To be more specific, 885 faculty received the survey through emails and 152 responded to the questionnaire (17%) while 1,826 staff/administrator received the survey through emails and 477 responded to the questionnaire (26%) through email link.
