A brief description of the event(s):
The Events Office and academic departments host a variety of events throughout the academic year, ranging from speakers on climate change, to movies and student- run panels. The student EcoRep program hosts several on campus events targeted at students (including concerts, campus-wide competitions and outreach programs), the office of Sustainability frequently partners with the Environmental Studies Department to host lecture series, speakers, film screenings and symposia. Examples include sustainable speakers across disciplines (government, sociology, biology, etc) and informal meetings for younger students to talk with older students about environmentally-focused study abroad programs. Our Facebook page and Installments frequently promote sustainable events happening on campus.
