A brief description of the metering system:
Bowdoin's Building Dashboard records the electricity use of 50 Bowdoin buildings in real time. It allows users to compare energy usage between buildings and compare their own building usage to a selected previous time period (day, month, or year). Steam meters that measure input from the on campus steam plant are installed in 27 buildings on campus. Buildings that receive natural gas deliveries are individually metered.
