Bowdoin gives preference to local vendors in the purchasing of goods and services. Bowdoin purchased $16.8 M of its goods and services from Maine in FY2012. Of that, $4.9 M were purchased from local vendors (Brunswick and neighboring towns), $3.5 M of which was spent in Brunswick alone.
