A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):
Every month, or as needed, Human Resources hosts a new employee orientation that includes a segment about sustainability initiatives at Bowdoin. These initiatives include Bowdoin's Carbon Neutrality Commitment and Bowdoin's zero-sort recycling program. Additionally, this orientation educates new employees about Bowdoin's Zipcar program, the Building Dashboard Energy Monitoring System, and other relevant green initiatives on campus. These orientation programs no longer include a bound paper employee manual, which considerably reduces paper usage.
