A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:
Brock University is located in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada with its main campus in a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Biosphere Reserve, formally known as the Niagara Escarpment Biosphere Network. Brock University pursues a global reach through its leadership in experiential education and work-integrated learning; research, scholarly and creative activities; and support for the vibrancy of communities.
Since it opened in 1964, Brock University has become a vibrant institution of more than 18,000 students, with rich academic programs and world-class research. As it was half a century ago, Brock remains a proud partner committed to improving the vitality of neighboring communities across Niagara even as it extends its global reach. Today, Brock offers 150 undergraduate and graduate degrees through six academic Faculties and is home to 14 Canada Research Chairs. Brock University is also ranked as one of the best universities in Canada for student satisfaction, and a leader in career success and experiential learning. Two years after graduation, the employment rate for Brock grads is higher than the average for Ontario universities.
Brock University’s business and municipal address is 1812 Sir Isaac Brock Way, St. Catharines, Ontario, L2S 3A1. This address includes over 20 buildings which are void of any distinct street numbers or identifiers. This site is identified as “Core Campus”. In addition to the buildings, the Core Campus also includes private roads and infrastructure, which is owned by the Corporation of Brock University. Adjacent to the buildings on core campus there are a number of sites/facilities that are bordering the Core Campus that are owned by Brock University, these sites collectively are referred to as “East Campus” and are bisected by Glenridge Avenue, a municipally owned and operated roadway. The facilities on the Core Campus in addition to the facilities on the “East Campus” are considered to be Brock Universities “Main Campus”.
