A brief description of the institution's initiatives to shift individual attitudes and practices in regard to energy efficiency (e.g. outreach and education efforts):
Chico State Green Campus Program Who we are: We are a student group working out of the Institute for Sustainable Development focused on promoting resource conservation and environmental stewardship to the Chico State Campus Community. How we do this: We do this by implementing creative student-led energy and water efficiency projects and by engaging the campus community in conservation campaigns and outreach events.

A brief description of energy use standards and controls employed by the institution (e.g. building temperature standards, occupancy and vacancy sensors):
Through the campus EMS system, as well as a campus wide scheduling program for classes and events, the central plant references this information to determine when building temperatures are allowed to go outside the posted range. This also allows operators to curtail building fans to reduce power consumption.

A brief description of Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting and other energy-efficient lighting strategies employed by the institution:
Yes, two classrooms have been modified to include LED lighting in existing recessed can lights. Several exterior lights are being upgraded to LED lights as well.
