The Sustainability Fund Allocation Committee (SFAC) was started by students in 2006 to help tackle two of the most pressing issues of our time; climate change and environmental justice. Approximately $100,000 is set aside each year to empower students and the AS to identify needs, implement solutions and make a positive difference on campus and in the world. Student fees for the fund are collected each semester at $6.51 per student.
A brief description of the multi-stakeholder decision-making process used to determine which projects receive funding through the sustainability projects fund:
The SFAC Committee reviews all proposals submitted. All students who receive an average score of 70 or higher will be invited to the deliberation meeting where they will give a three-minute presentation and will find out if your project will be awarded funding.
