Through the Sustainability Club, student volunteer interns conduct peer-to-peer outreach activities as part of an annual academic year campaign schedule including October's Sustainability Month, March's Race to Reduce Month, and Earth Day.

Activities for these outreach campaigns are all focused on engaging student peers, and activities range from traditional tabling to educate students on how to "go green", support for green careers at job fair events, organizing service-days to gain an appreciation for native gardens, and much more.

Volunteer interns are required to conduct mandatory peer-peer engagement activities to help educate fellow students on sustainability concepts with associated hour requirements in order to receive credit for the internship.

All interns log outreach numbers/participants as part of every event and peer-peer outreach activity in order to calculate impact and effectiveness.

As part of their internship requirements, they must undergo Sustainability 101 and Communications 101 training which explains sustainability principles as well as community-based social marketing techniques for educating their peers on sustainability behaviors.
