A brief description of the institution’s library support for sustainability research, including any positive outcomes during the previous three years:
The CSULB Library provides ample research, instruction, and learning opportunities and support on the multitude of topics related to sustainability. As sustainability is cross-disciplinary, you will find monographic materials (books) that reside in the subject areas of environmental studies, biological sciences, geological sciences, engineering, business, and geography, just to name a few disciplinary areas. In regards to our electronic services, we have dozens of research guides, over 200 electronic databases that provide access to millions of research articles, and many, many other online research options. As the mission of CSULB's library is to support the curriculum, they will focus on sustainability as it appears in the curriculum, but as mentioned above, it has definitely been appearing in the curriculum, so the library is definitely learning to focus some online materials in that direction.
