California State University Long Beach is committed to providing a safe and healthy campus environment for faculty, staff, students, volunteers, visitors, and the general public. The University has established an action-oriented Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) designed to identify and eliminate unsafe conditions/practices, to control health hazards, to safeguard the property and assets of the University, and to comply fully with all applicable safety and health regulations. The IIPP also outlines specific criteria related to employee training to ensure sure that all employees are aware of knowledgeable about the materials and equipment they will be working with, what known hazards are present and how they are to be controlled.
