Please note that assured reports are still subject to review by AASHE staff prior to publication, which may require additional revisions. AASHE reserves the right to withhold points for this credit if it is determined that the assurance process was clearly unsuccessful in identifying and resolving inconsistencies or errors (e.g., when AASHE staff identify a significant number of issues that were either not mentioned in the completed review template or not resolved successfully).
Did the assurance process include internal review, an external audit, or both?:
The name, title, and organizational affiliation of each reviewer:
External review was conducted by employees at our sister campus, California State University Northridge.
Reviewers:
Sarah Johnson, Acting Director, Institute for Sustainability
Austin Eriksson, Director of Energy and Sustainability
Lorely Guzman, California Climate Action Corps Fellow
A brief description of the institution’s assurance process:
The first round of review was conducted internally by Sustainability Manager, Holli Fajack. She reviewed all of the data and responses compiled by the Office of Sustainability's Sustainability Specialist and Student Assistants, revising as necessary.
She then added our colleagues at CSU Northridge as reviewers on the STARS platform and shared the review template via email. They conducted their review and sent back comments and suggested corrections and revisions. We addressed those items and sent the template back to them. They reviewed our corrections and sent us a final version of the template showing that all issues had been resolved.
