Various contractors work with the university’s Design and Construction Services Department serving in staff augmentation roles in construction and project management and inspection positions. The Facilities Management Department hires contractors to perform various services such as elevator maintenance, tree trimming, and signage installation. All of our campus auxiliary departments have contractors that perform regular and ongoing operations. These contractors provide landscaping services, pest control, custodial services, swimming pool cleaning and maintenance, food service, catering, HVAC maintenance and repair, equipment maintenance, and retail sales.

Part 3. Minimum total compensation for employees
A brief description of the minimum total compensation provided to the institution’s lowest paid employee or pay grade:
Employees are provided with health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement benefits, paid sick, vacation, and holiday leave, and life insurance. Eligible employees may also qualify for the fee waiver program, which allows CSULB employees or their dependents to attend classes at CSU campuses at reduced rates.
