A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:

California State University, Long Beach was established in 1949 and encompassed only a few buildings. Since then, the campus has grown to more than 80 buildings spread across 322 acres. For the purposes of this report, the entire main campus is included in the institutional boundary (including state-owned and non-state owned facilities). With regard to utilities-related data, the off-campus Foundation Building, Beachside Residence, and Miller House (President's residence) are also included.
