Does the institution host a peer-to-peer textbook exchange program, textbook lending library, or alternate textbook project?:
Yes

A brief description of the textbook exchange program, textbook lending library, or alternate textbook project:
The CSUMB Library purchases print copies of all textbooks priced over $100, as well as textbooks for high DFW (high enrollment, low success) courses. Textbooks are placed on two-hour, in-library-use-only course reserve. The library provides a book scanner for students who wish to create electronic files of the pages they need, which eliminates the need to photocopy.

Does the institution provide incentives for academic staff that explicitly encourage the authorship, peer review, and/or adoption of open access textbooks?:
Yes

A brief description of the incentives to encourage the authorship, peer review, and/or adoption of open access textbooks:
The CSUMB Library and Center for Academic Technologies have partnered with the CSU Affordable Learning Solutions program to provide funding, professional development, and instructional design and technology support to faculty interested in adopting open textbooks, using library electronic resources as course texts, and/or authoring their own electronic texts.
