Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
Data obtained from Melisa Hubka, compiled/completed by Eleanor Ludwig.
Degrees were included if they included at least one sustainability-focused course, with some exceptions made for certificates and minors. All degrees are broken down into what sustainability -focused or -inclusive courses are required by them to graduate. To graduate-level graduates to report yet since our sustainability-focus grad programs are new.
See the attached excel documentation file for calculations.
On Sustainability Designation:
The Program for Sustainability Engineering (PSE) oversees the sustainability designation to the Bachelors of Science in Engineering (BSE) degree. The PSE educates students and the community to understand and demonstrate commitments to sustainable approaches to addressing important problems of our contemporary world. The PSE also provides funding for student/faculty research in the Engineering Department.
In addition, the PSE maintains and advances sustainability-related teaching and research infrastructure, provides community outreach on sustainability-related topics, and serves as an institutional home for other sustainability-related activities within the engineering department. Students are encouraged to participate with the PSE as interns, researchers, and student club members.
