Name or title of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Free & For Sale Frenzy

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
The student Sustainability Assistants, STAs, came up with an event after frustrations from an online Facebook page that allowed students to buy and swap clothing. They were unhappy that they couldn't snag deals and didn't have the time to sit on Facebook all day waiting for something else to pop up. In the spirit of reusing clothing, our STAs decided to host a live version of the virtual Free & For Sale Facebook page as a pop--up consignment shop organized by the Sustainability Office. Students are allowed to bring up to 12 items (we were overloaded with clothing the first event we hosted!) and Sustainability Office STAs along with volunteers hang, organize, and run the sale. Items are sold through Venmo teansactions that go straight back to the students sellin the items. After the 12 item limit, students are able to donate clothing to a "free corner" which allows them to still offload their items without overloading our crew. All items are mostly priced under $10, which keeps the entire event affordable adn accessible to all students. We also promote reuse for students by offering this event three times each year. All left over items are either given back to the students or donated to local non-profits.
