Does the institution conduct an assessment of sustainability culture?:
Yes

Which of the following best describes the cultural assessment? The assessment is administered to::
The entire campus community (students and employees) directly or by representative sample

Which of the following best describes the structure of the cultural assessment? The assessment is administered::
Without a follow-up assessment of the same cohort or representative samples of the same population

A brief description of how and when the cultural assessment(s) were developed and/or adopted:
CSA (our student senate) conducts campus-wide surveys on various issues across campus- Menstrual Cup/products, etc.

We know across campus that many students care about sustainability. Instead of administering a campus-wide survey, we have chosen to conduct relevant topic-based surveys as needed to advance sustainability in certain areas.

A brief description of how representative samples were reached (if applicable) and how the cultural assessment is administered:
CSA sends out surveys to the entire student body via email to complete. The results are processed and presented at a future CSA meeting, which is open to all students. 592 students participated in the survey of a total of 2,005. This survey was conducted in spring 2019.

A brief summary of results from the cultural assessment:
For this survey, it was found that students would benefit from free menstrual products in public bathrooms across campus to remove an economic barrier. We also asked students if they would be interested in reducing their waste and using a menstrual cup, of which many said yes. We are now working with various departments across campus to secure funding for a limited number of cups that would be made available to those who request them.
