A brief description of the pre-consumer food waste composting program:
Carnegie Mellon University Dining currently has a pre-consumer composting program that is fairly pervasive. All University Center dining locations with the exception of Si Senor are currently participating in the pre-consumer composting program. The Resnik Servery, and Tazza D’Oro at the R-Bar Cafe’ in the Gates and Hillman Science Center are both currently participating in the pre-consumer composting program. This represents approximately 60% of the food production on campus.
