A brief description of the certificate program(s), including the year the program was created:
1. The Advanced Leadership Initiative (TALI) was launched in 2018 to ensure African-Americans gain leadership roles on executive teams of the Pittsburgh region's corporations and nonprofit organizations. The signature program in this initiative is the Executive Leadership Academy, which is part of Carnegie Mellon's Executive Education Program and housed in the Tepper School of Business.. The eight-module advanced development program is designed to provide the tools, exposure and training necessary to increase the visibility and success of high-performing African-Americans so that they can contribute to their organizations — and their community — at the highest levels.
2. Chief Information Security Officer Certificate Program is a 6-month program designed to address the increasing need for professionals who can address cybersecurity and protect data privacy. Theses skills and capabilities are critical to protecting community infrastructure, economic enterprise, and individual safety and wellbeing. The CISO Certificate Program is administered by CMU's Heinz College. Named a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education by the NSA and U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Heinz College is a crucial asset to cybersecurity education and practice in the United States
3. The Chief Risk Officer Certificate Program is designed for leaders in risk management to further develop their skills, providing strategies for effectively communicating risks to executive leadership professionals, and tools for analyzing and addressing enterprise risks. The CRO Certificate Program is developed and delivered by Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, CMU's Risk and Regulatory Services Innovation Center, and the CERT Division of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI).
