A brief description of the methodology used to track and calculate the number of recordable incidents of work-related injury or ill health :
Incident data is tracked through the University's workers compensation provider. Reports containing incident data, including the recordable incidents can be requested from Human Resources or directly through the workers compensation provider. Also, incident reports are tracked internally so corrective actions can be implemented, trends can be identified and addressed.

Data reported for workers compensation purposes includes all students, both graduate and undergraduate, who receive a W2 forms from CMU.
