We have the Associated Students of Cascadia College, they are represented by the Cascadia Student Government, with six representatives. President, Vice President, Director of Government Relations, Director of Budget and Finance, Director of Pluralism and Inclusion, Director of Public Relations and Technology. The Cascadia Student Government President sits in on the Board of Trustees Meetings, or an appointed officer. The students serving in these positions are placed in office through an application and selection process. The Student Government President does not have formal representation on the Cascadia Board of Trustees.

Executive Assembly/ Exempt Assembly: "The governance system of Cascadia College will operate through a formal system of Employee Advisory Groups and Councils. Recommendations resulting from team dialogue, including considerations from campus committees and task forces, will be forwarded through the appropriate organizational governance process or to appropriate administrators for further dialogue. This charter defines the purpose, membership, work load, and rules associated with the Exempt Assembly. A copy of the charter must be kept on file with the President’s Office. Teams are not responsible for employment or personnel matters including but not limited to the following: • Tenure rules and procedures, or tenure recommendations • Working conditions • Employment contract issues • Final decisions on administrative procedures, college policies, and/or operational matters which fall under the purview of other governance groups As per Cascadia College’s Governance and Administration Policy (BP6: 1.10) all governance structures are advisory to the President. " Cascadia has a similar assembly for Classified Staff.

Faculty have a Faculty Assembly that meets twice a month. See description below: The Faculty Governance structure described in this charter has been created with the purpose of being a forum for discussion, advice, and decision-making on issues which affect student learning and the faculty of Cascadia College. It is an intentional community in which the voices of all faculty and all disciplines are equally valued; it serves as a liaison between Faculty, Administration, and other College governance bodies; it is an advisory body to the Executive Team; and is representative of the collective voice of Faculty to the College at large. Regularly Scheduled Meetings: 1st & 3rd Thursdays 3:30-5:00pm

It is unclear whether or not we have written policies and procedures to engage the public, governance documents include internal policies only. However, a job description for College Relations, as an executive position indicates that our governance includes a representative that works to maintain presence in the community on behalf of Cascadia. We also have the Cascadia Foundation. There are no written policies on them. Master Plan policy adopted mandates that we work with the University of Washington Bothell.
