A brief description of the diversity and equity committee, office and/or officer, including purview and activities:
We have a very active Committee on Social Justice and Institutional Plularism. The purpose of this committee is to serve as the primary advisory group to the administration with regard to issues of diversity. It shall
• provide insight and recommendations as to campus climate, critical incident response, and human resources;
• be a source of guidance and feedback to the The Center for Culture, Community, and Inclusion;
• collect all known programming related to Pluralism and maintain the website with such information, providing feedback and assistance to programmatic bodies as necessary;
• review its function and charter yearly so that it acts as a body whose activity is purposeful to campus success in this area.
