A brief description of the graduate-level degree program:
A PhD in Management: Designing Sustainable Systems prepares students, who are working professionals with at least 15 years of work experience, for an academic career involving teaching and research. While candidates are expected to be established in a specific domain of management scholarship, transdisciplinary research is the main focus of this track. Students conduct several rigorous studies during the program that introduce them to the theories, practices and techniques of evidence-based management. The student's research seek to incorporate perspectives from new thinking about design, sustainability, and complex systems as they relate to management in a global environment.

Located in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, the Graduate Certificate in Public Health was approved in April 2017 by the Board of Trustees. The Certificate now exists alongside a preexisting Masters in Public Health, and is essentially a condensed version of that degree. Topics range from macro issues in public health, statistical methods, public health management, and policy.
