The University is currently making a plan to transition to a fully electric fleet. CWRU's fleet purchasing is decentralized, however several business units have taken leadership to pilot alternatively fueled vehicles: the police (low-speed electric vehicle and Segways), ITS (low speed electric vehicle) and the University Farm (CNG shuttle bus).
