Part 1. Hazardous waste minimization and disposal

A brief description of steps taken to reduce hazardous, special (e.g. coal ash), universal, and non-regulated chemical waste:
Clean out of existing inventories and dated chemical waste, construction areas repurposed and reuse volume in new areas. Dated and low volume chemicals are culled and shipped annually.
A brief description of how the institution safely disposes of hazardous, universal, and non-regulated chemical waste:
Follow all EPA regulations and incinerator policies, universal waste is recycled and reclaimed. Coolant sent out as hazardous and are not put down wastewater drains. Nothing goes down the drain except soap and water. Any acids or bases are neutralized before disposal.
A brief description of any significant hazardous material release incidents during the previous three years, including volume, impact and response/remediation:
None FPCC spill containment control plan.
A brief description of any inventory system employed by the institution to facilitate the reuse or redistribution of laboratory chemicals:
None, however multiple campuses call each other to redistribute and reuse between multi Central Community College campuses. National Fire Protection System inventory is done annually.
