A brief description of the methodology used to track and calculate the number of recordable incidents of work-related injury or ill health :
Worked with our insurance carrier to determine.
All work related injuries/illnesses (whether they result in medical attention or not) are reported to Sheila Kiiker in Payroll, who will ensure that the claim is reported to the workers’ compensation. Injuries/illnesses must be reported within 24 hrs.
Even if a person does not want to fill out an accident/injury form, it should be filled out. The safety of our students and employees is a priority for Central Community College and, therefore, it is important to report injuries and property damage incidents so that appropriate corrective actions can be taken to prevent future incidents and improve our safety program.
Employee injury reports are also necessary to manage billing for medical care and to comply with reporting requirements.
