Part 1

Does the institution have policies and/or guidelines in place to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources on campus?:
Yes

None
A brief description of the policies and/or guidelines to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources:
The City of Burlington has an Idling Control Bylaw which covers Champlain College’s main campus. In November 2014, Champlain College passed its own Anti-Idling Resolution. More information is available here: • http://www.champlain.edu/faculty-and-staff/campus-information/transportation-and-parking/parking/general-regulations • http://www.champlain.edu/Documents/transportation-parking/Anti-IdlePolicy.Adopted11.21.2014.pdf Champlain College has a smoking policy which bans all indoor smoking and limits where outdoor smoking can occur. More information available here: http://catalog.champlain.edu/content.php?catoid=34&navoid=906#Smoking

Part 2

Has the institution completed an inventory of significant air emissions from stationary campus sources or else verified that no such emissions are produced?:
Yes

Weight of the following categories of air emissions from stationary sources::
Weight of Emissions
Nitrogen oxides (NOx) 0.80 Tons
Sulfur oxides (SOx) 0 Tons
Carbon monoxide (CO) ---
Particulate matter (PM) 0 Tons
Ozone (O3) 0 Tons
Lead (Pb) 0 Tons
Hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) 0 Tons
Ozone-depleting compounds (ODCs) 0 Tons
Other standard categories of air emissions identified in permits and/or regulations 0 Tons

None
A brief description of the methodology(ies) the institution used to complete its air emissions inventory:
GHGs are calculated using the SIPMP tool. Data is submitted from Champlain College to our GHG inventory consultant, who then enters data into the carbon calculator. For boilers - we account for the natural gas consumed each year. Additionally, we account for any refrigerant leaks in HVAC systems & appliances. These are included in our total GHG inventory, as mentioned in OP-1. FY2018 Air emissions from stationary sources (natural gas) = CO2 = 1229.8 MTCDE = 1355.62245 tons CH4 = 3.06 MTCDE = 3.373073 tons N2O = .73 MTCDE = .804687 tons
