A brief description of the incentive program(s):
Starting in the fall of 2014, the Sustainability Faculty Fellows Program at the University of Vermont (UVM) was opened to faculty members from Champlain College. We have regularly had 1-2 faculty participants each year.

Examples from 2021-2022 include: Indigenous Peoples’ Week in November 2021; Abenaki Ways of Knowing - weekly long immersion professional development opportunity for faculty/staff in May 2022.

The year-long training, workshops and resources from the UVM are available to the Champlain faculty. The stipend is not.
At Champlain,
* Part time faculty members receive $75 each semester for engaging in professional development of any kind
* Some part time faculty are given stipends for developing new courses
* Full time faculty who develop new courses are able to add this work to their cv portfolios for promotion
