There is some covered bike storage, but no inside locked storage for use on a daily basis. There is locker, shower, and bike storage space at our IRC gymnasium.

Campus is envisioned as a pedestrian/bike oriented campus in the master plan. Continued strides are made to move in that direction. The Village of Potsdam has a complete Streets policy. We are working with them to extend bike paths where appropriate for the Clarkson community.

The KnightRider program was developed with Clarkson's Sustainability Fund. It is a bike loan program designed especially for international students. They borrow a bicycle for a semester at a low cost.

For academic breaks, subsidized buses are arranged by the university for direct transport to our major cities (NYC, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo). Throughout the semester there is a free shuttle for students to commute to campus or to go shopping.

We have several fleet vehicles for our campus car sharing program. Vans and cars are available. The program is administered by facilities dept. They charge the federal mileage rate to use vehicles.

Level 2 EV charging stations are available on our main Hill campus, downtown Potsdam campus and CRC campus in Schenectady. They are available for use by any one on campus or the community. Two of these were installed by national Grid through a NYSERDA grant, electricity is free for the user.
