Students elect representatives to the Clarkson University Student Association (CUSA) or Graduate Student Association (GSA). The elected leaders of both of these governance groups attend and present their activities to the Board of Trustees two times per year.
Do the institution’s staff members have a representative body through which they can participate in governance (e.g. a staff council)?:

Do the institution’s non-supervisory staff members have an elected representative on the institution’s highest governing body?:
No

All non-supervisory staff are represented by their managers at the Administrative Council. In addition, elected leaders of the Support Staff council regularly communicate with HR and campus leaders. Hourly staff in the Facilities and Services department are supported though their union.

Faculty have the opportunity to vote for representatives to the Faculty Senate. The Chair of the Faculty Senate sits on the President's Cabinet and attends/presents at the Board of Trustees meetings.

The local government in included in decisions and assessment of impacts on all major new or renovation construction projects. Details of the nature of the interactions are included in Chapter 2 of the Clarkson Construction Standards: Design Process and Procedures (attached)
