Clemson Energy Visualization and Analytics Center(CEVAC) Interns track and analyze data related to the carbon footprint of buildings on the Clemson University campus. They work with large datasets, monitoring factors like energy usage, transportation patterns, food waste, water consumption, and paper usage. CEVAC interns contribute to the university's goal of carbon neutrality by 2030 by identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes based on data analysis. This internship has had a lot of success, and recently took up the project of calculating the carbon footprint for Medical University of South Carolina(MUSC). This project for MUSC included all of the same monitoring factors that the CEVAC team did for Clemson’s campus. After completion, the CEVAC team gave a presentation of their findings to MUSC leadership.
