A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome :
Campus Salvage, Coastal Carolina University's annual collection and donation program designed to divert unwanted items that students leave behind at year's end, raises money which will help to pay for the cost of the program collection efforts. The items include clothing, shoes, non-perishable items, cleaning products, paper products, school supplies, household items, electronics, furniture, accessories, jewelry and more. Collection of the unwanted items coincides with students moving out of the residence halls. Items are both donated to local charities and sold for about $1 each during a community sale, hosted by the Sustainability Office.
