Eco-Rep Leaders Program
A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):
Eco-Rep Leaders are peer educators for students, staff, and faculty at Coastal Carolina University as well as for the community. Each Eco-Rep Leader has the expectation to represent sustainability through a variety of means, including academic presentations, campus meetings, special events, educational sessions and environmental campaigns. Eco-Rep Leaders are expected to devote their time to educate their peers, foster sustainable behavior, and build community. Each Eco-Rep Leader is required to conduct campus and community presentations, help plan and execute special events, and connect with departments on campus to help in making their efforts more sustainable.

Green Team
A brief description of the student educators program (2nd program):
The Green Team is an integral part of the behind-the-scenes work of sustainability at Coastal Carolina University. The Green Team consists of student staff that collect recyclables on-campus in all academic and administrative buildings, as well as during special events, especially athletic events. In addition to collecting recyclables, Green Team members interact and work to educate the campus and larger community about sustainability and Sustain Coastal initiatives, such as Zero Waste.
A brief description of the student educators program’s target audience (2nd program):
In day-to-day operations, the presence of the Green Team around campus is an important reminder and daily educational tool for the campus community. At special events, Green Team members educate campus community members and also the larger community about Zero Waste. They also supervise student volunteers at campus Zero Waste events, and help to build capacity surrounding waste diversion efforts and how to properly sort waste.

LiveWell Peer Educators
The LiveWell Peer Educators are students who focus on holistic wellness using the 9 Dimensions of Wellness/wellness wheel as the model for others by also trying to help those in need.
Any student on campus who wants to improve their wellness or is struggling and needs guidance and support from people they can look up to but also become friends with.

The SHORE Peer Educators
The SHORE Peer Educators are a group of student volunteers who are trained to plan and execute events, activities and give presentations on a wide variety of mental health and general wellness topics for their peers. Members educate their fellow students about healthy living and work with the Live Well Office and Counseling Services staffs to raise awareness about various psychological issues. SHORE members are trained and supervised to provide educational presentations to classes, organizations, teams and other student groups. SHORE also organizes events and creates initiatives relating to mental/emotional health and interpersonal violence prevention.
