A brief description of programs, policies, infrastructure investments, outreach efforts, and/or other factors that contributed to the diversion rate for construction and demolition waste:
CCU designates a 30-yard open top container for daily C&D collection. The container is sent to the Horry County Solid Waste Authority, where the material is processed at the C&D facility. Approximately 65% is diverted from landfill.

The numbers provided were from FY22. CCU has seen a reduction in the C&D collection due to construction slowing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
