Andrea Russell presented at A Climate to Thrive Summit in 2018 and 2019, on the college's REDA-funded "Solar for Businesses and Farms" program.
Jay Friedlander presented his sustainability oriented business model, called the Abundance Cycle, at the annual Arctic Circle Assembly (an international forum for dialogue concerning the future of the Arctic) in Reykjavík, Iceland in 2018.

COA is partnering with Ashoka Japan to establish a college of human ecology in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, and has completed two summer intensives (called the “HELIO” program) where students and faculty collaborate on the planning process.

A brief description of other collaborative efforts around sustainability during the previous year:
COA is part of the EcoLeague Consortium of green colleges. Each year COA participates in the planning for exchanges, short courses, and administrative efforts for the EcoLeague. In summer 2018 COA attended the EcoLeague retreat in Vermont; administrators from the member colleges, particularly academic and admission officers, convened to collaborate on a number of joint initiatives.
