A brief description of the policies and/or guidelines to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources:
COA is committed to maintaining high outdoor air quality, and integrated a “No Idling Policy” into campus-wide parking policy. The policy explicitly states, “Vehicles, whether for delivery or otherwise, parked on the COA campus are not allowed to idle for more than five minutes.” No-Idling signage is posted around campus, reminding students, staff, faculty, and visitors to respect the policy.
As part of the College’s mission to provide clean air and to respect the health and wellbeing of the public, COA also has a non-smoking policy: “COA is committed to providing a smoke-free work environment. Smoking is therefore prohibited in and within a 25 foot zone around all college buildings, except for specific designated smoking areas. Smoking is also prohibited in all college owned vehicles.” The College specifies several smoke-free areas which might fall outside a 25 foot zone, but are considered inappropriate for smoking, and directs smokers instead toward several designated smoking areas.

A brief description of the methodology(ies) the institution used to complete its air emissions inventory:
Based on EPA emissions rules, we have no stationary sources of significant air emissions on campus. We have a comprehensive list of all of our boilers, furnaces and generators, the largest of which is an H.B. Smith 19 Series 9, 1992, 863,000 BTU/hr oil boiler. The majority of boilers are of residential scale.
