A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the course inventory:
An intern in the Office of Sustainability went through the course catalog to identify courses based on the STARS definitions and the course descriptions included on the website. All block courses from the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 years were included, excluding theses, independent study courses, adjuncts, and summer courses. Courses were counted by courses taught. As needed, professors and departments were emailed to clarify information about courses.
