In January of 2023, President L. Song Richardson presented at the President's Conference. She presented on the Bold Actions to Support the Climate panel speaking about Colorado College’s actions we’ve taken to combat climate change to date. In September of 2023 Ian Johnson presented at CERC Net Zero Campus Forum on Net Zero Carbon Achievement.

Colorado College submitted a case study to the Sustainable Campus Index and was awarded a top 10 spot for water use & reduction, air and climate, and for baccalaureate institutions overall.

The Director of Sustainability at Colorado College serves on three boards/committees as: 1. The board chair for PikeRide 2. A board member of NREL's Colorado Campus Net Zero forum 3. A council member of Second Nature’s Carbon Offset Care Council

A brief description of the mentoring relationship and activities:
(2021) Working occasionally with Bennett College to advise on sustainability office, staffing, and organization strategies. (2022) Working with faculty at Washington and Lee University to advise on sustainability goals and strategies. (2023) Working with University of Colorado Colorado Springs to review STARS Data for each institution before we submit to the actual platform to ensure that all data is as corrrect as it can be.

A brief description of the peer review activities:
As of 2024, we have started a reviewing partnership with University of Colorado Colorado Springs. UCCS and Colorado College have engaged in a partnership where each institution reviews the STARS report of the other before submitting the final report to AASHE. This helps ensure that all data is accurate and allows for extra assurance of accuracy. Each insitution gives the data to the other for two rounds of review, with a chance to fix errors in between.
