A brief description of the institution’s program to support employee volunteering:
Regular full- and part-time staff may request time off with pay to voluntarily participate in any of the college-sponsored community activities. Colorado College offers this paid time off as a benefit to staff scheduled to work during the community service event but does not request or require them to participate in these activities. Such participation is voluntary and not considered work-related time or part of a staff member's job duties, and, therefore, is not compensated except for those days the staff member is normally scheduled to work.
Does the institution track the number of employee community service hours contributed through programs it sponsors?:

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
"FTE Student Enrollment" and "Number of Students Enrolled for Credit" are equal, as there are no part-time students. Numbers are from the 2021-2022 academic year. Data gathered using the Colorado College Common Data Set which can be found here: https://www.coloradocollege.edu/offices/ipe/documents/CDS_2022-2023.pdf While the Collaborative For Community Engagement has tracked community service hours coming out of its office, the college has not completed a detailed survey of community service hours since 2019-2020. Additionally, the Collaborative for Community Engagement staff acknowledges that since the COVID-19 pandemic started, student engagement has taken a large hit. They hope to provide more programming and opportunities for engagement in the upcoming years. The community service hours and amount of students was derived from estimates by the CCE staff, our fraternities and sororities, and Outdoor Education on campus. These organizations provide opportunities for student volunteers each year. CCE Website: https://www.coloradocollege.edu/offices/cce/
